• While the RMT dispute has been settled ongoing industrial action by ASLEF continues to severely affect all services with some days seeing no trains running at all and others severely curtailed by 'action short of a strike', aka an overtime ban.

• West Midlands Railway performance continues to be problematic with some trains still being cancelled due to crew shortages.
• Last year's proposals by Train Operators to close ticket offices roundly rejected so they remain open
• Ticket prices rose again in March, with an average increase of 4.9%
• Rail revenues remain about 20% below pre-pandemic levels.
• Chiltern's franchise has ended and has been replaced by a 6-year Direct Award to Chiltern from the Department for Transport.
• Work at Warwick railway station to install lifts, initially at a cost of £6.8 million, has been suspended due to the unexpected discovery of earlier station building foundations, a revised finish date has not been announced and will take a year to do and with a likely cost increase
